Find your way around the Console

Find Your Way Around the Console

The Console brings many parts of your business into one workspace, so it offers several ways to move between them. Its navigation is designed to help you reach the information you need and continue the work you are doing without returning to a starting page each time.

You can explore by clicking or hovering over navigation items. The options you see depend on your role and permissions, so your workspace may look different from a colleague’s.

Start with the bottom tray

The tray at the bottom of the Console is your main way to move between areas. Use it when you want to leave your current task and open another part of the platform.

If you are unsure where to find something, return to the bottom tray and look for the area that best matches the work you want to do. From there, you can move towards the relevant page.

Move between related pages

Many pages also have a menu in the left column. This gives you quick access to pages related to the area you are working in.

The left menu can change as you move through the Console. That helps keep nearby options relevant to your current work. If you cannot see a page you were using earlier, the bottom tray gives you a way to navigate back to that area.

Use interpage views

Some pages offer interpage views, allowing you to switch between different ways of viewing or working with the information on that page. Look for the available view options when you want to change your perspective while staying in the same area.

Follow the next step

On some pages, options near the top help you move to the next part of a broader task. After reviewing information, you may be able to continue to the action that follows it.

These options appear where they are useful. Some pages are intended for reviewing or managing one kind of information and do not have a next-step option at the top.

Work with popups

Some actions open in a popup over the page you are using. A popup may let you add details, make a selection, review information or confirm an action without taking you away from your current work.

Read the information in the popup before saving or confirming. When you close it, you can continue from the page beneath it.

Click, hover and explore

Some options open when you click them; others reveal more choices when you hover over them. If an item looks like a menu, move your pointer over it to see whether it offers another route before clicking through.

As you use the Console, the relationship between its areas will become more familiar. You can use the bottom tray to move across the business, the left column to move between related pages, interpage views to change your perspective, and popups to complete focused actions.

Why your view may be different

The Console shows navigation according to the access assigned to your account. A technician, salesperson, finance team member and manager may each see different pages because they have different responsibilities.

If a colleague mentions a page you cannot find, check whether it belongs to an area your role can access. An authorised administrator can review your permissions if your responsibilities have changed or you need access to complete your work.

Finding your way when you are unsure

Think first about what you are trying to do. Use the bottom tray to find the relevant business area, then the left menu to move to a related page. Check for an interpage view if you need another perspective. Once you are there, look near the top for an option that continues the task.

You do not need to memorise every route. Start with the work you need to complete, and let the navigation guide you to the next place.
